Hand-built reclaimed stoneware | approximately 4" diameter | Not food safe
Walt has been around.
Not in the sense that he gets out much — Walt does not particularly get out much. But he has the energy of someone who has seen a few things, thought about them carefully, and arrived at some conclusions he's not in any rush to share. He has a workshop. There are projects in various stages of completion. He checks on them regularly.
His bowl is glazed in a pale weathered gray — silvery, dripping at the edges in slow frozen cascades, like something that's been outside for a long time and is better for it. It has the texture of bark, or lichen, or the good side of an old barn. Up close there is so much happening. From a distance it looks like quiet. It is not quiet. It is decades of accumulated opinion.
His feathers catch a flash of chartreuse at the base — just a hint, just enough. Walt didn't plan that. Walt doesn't mind.
He is one of the smallest pieces to ever come out of this studio. Walt considers this a matter of efficiency.
Walt is hand-built from reclaimed stoneware — a mix of every clay body in the studio, invented out of necessity and better for it. No two Flock pieces share quite the same material history. Walt's history is long, considered, and probably written down somewhere.
One of a kind. Walt exists only once, which suits him fine.
