Nobody told Finch she was small. This was probably the right call.
She is the tiniest bird this studio has ever made. Her bowl is blue-gray with a bark-like texture — not smooth, not showy, just quietly extraordinary up close in the way of things that don't need to announce themselves. The color shifts depending on the light. Her feather band is warm tan, almost golden, against legs that are barely there but absolutely mean business.
She would like to be somewhere sunny. She has cleared her schedule.
Hand-built from reclaimed stoneware — every clay body in the studio, fired together into something new. She came out swinging.
One of a kind. Finch exists only once and she's already on her way somewhere.
